JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven guard Brent Webber has been named the C Spire Athlete of the Week following his performances on the court this past week versus the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of the Ozarks. 

Webber scored nine points on 3-for-5 shooting from behind the arc on Thursday at Texas Dallas. The sophomore guard then poured in a season-high 26 points on Saturday to help lead the Blazers to a 96-90 win over the Ozarks. Webber knocked down six three-pointers in 10 attempts and scored 15 second-half points while playing all 20 minutes of the final period. 

For the season, the Miami, Fla. native is averaging 9.2 points per game and leads the Blazers in three-point shooting at 49 percent. 

Webber and the rest of the Blazers return to the hardwood on Thursday, as they host the Ozarks inside Rugg Arena at 7:30 p.m.
