JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven outside hitter Annelle Anderson has been named the C Spire Athlete of the Week following her performance on the court this past weekend against LeTourneau and East Texas Baptist.Â
The senior had one of her best weekends of the season, totaling 17 kills in two road matches, including a season high 10 against LETU.Â
She also recorded five blocks, including two solo blocks, on Saturday against ETBU.Â
The Topeka, Kan. native finished with an attacking percentage of .371, while only committing four errors on 35 total attacks.Â
Anderson and the Blazers return the court Tuesday for their final home match of the season, as they take on Millsaps. First serve is slated at 7 p.m. inside Rugg Arena. After the battle with the Majors, the Green and Gold will wrap up the season at the Centenary Halloween Tournament in Shreveport, beginning Friday morning.Â
