JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven Track and Field's Joshua Reed was named the C Spire Athlete of the Week following his performance in the High Jump on Saturday at the Jace Lacoste Mississippi State Invitational. 
 
This is Reed's second Athlete of the Week honor, with one during the Indoor season back on February 9.
 
Reed finished second in the event, clearing 2.05 meters (6' 8.75"). The senior broke the school record that had been set three different times by the senior in the last two seasons. With the performance, Reed now stands alone at second in the NCCAA in the event.
 
The Blazers will next compete at the NCCAA Outdoor National Championships at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia on May 13-14. Participants of the meet will be announced at a later date.
