JACKSON, Miss. – Belhaven junior outfielder Terrell Hodges has been selected as the C Spire Athlete of the Week following his performance this past week ending March 19.
Hodges helped the Blazers to a 5-0 week, including wins over Tougaloo, Illinois Wesleyan and a three-game series sweep over Louisiana College.
The junior transfer recorded a at least two hits and scored at least once in all five games.
Overall, Hodges went 11-for-20 on the week, with two home runs, six RBIs, five stolen bases and 10 runs scored.
He is on a 12-game hitting streak, and has 11 multi-hit games, which leads the Blazers, including an eight-game multi-hit streak.
Hodges leads the American Southwest Conference with 15 steals, and is also fifth in batting average (.463) and fourth in slugging percentage (.791).
Hodges and the rest of the Blazers will return to action on Tuesday, as they wrap up an 11-game home stand with Millsaps at Smith-Wills Stadium.
