This week's "C Spire Athlete of the Week" is Jessica Paris of the softball team. Paris, a senior from Pioneer, La, recorded wins against Tennessee Temple 9-0 and Martin Methodist 5-3. Paris struck out five against Tennessee Temple and fanned six in the Martin Methodist game, giving her 11 for the week. Paris fired 12 innings and allowed only six hits with three walks. On the season, Paris is 7-2 with a 2.56 ERA. In addition, Paris was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
