This week's C Spire Blazers Athlete of the Week is Denee' Crawford of the softball team. Crawford, a junior third baseman from Silsbee, TX, had a huge weekend for the Blazers, leading the team to three key Southern States Athletic Conference victories. Crawford blasted four home runs and tied a school record for most home runs in a game with two against sixth ranked Auburn-Montgomery. She also had at least one home run in three consecutive contests and home runs in three straight at bats. Three home runs in as many at bats is a first in program history.

In addition, Crawford was 8 for 11 at the plate with three doubles on top of her four homeruns. Crawford batted .727 and had a slugging percentage of 2.019 while collecting10 RBI and five runs scored in the four games. Crawford was also named the Southern States Athletic Conference and NAIA National Player of the Week.
