Belhaven junior right fielder Timmy Foster has been named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference baseball player of the week for his efforts during the week of February 23^rd through March 1^st.

                        

Foster, a native of Natchez, MS had a batting average of .563 and collected 8 RBI’s during the week. Foster also blasted his fifth home run of the season which is tops on the team. Foster is tied for second on the team in RBI’s with 21 so far in 2009

 

Belhaven will open up a three game series at home versus William Carey University this Friday night at Smith Wills Stadium beginning at 6 PM. The Blazers are 14-8 overall and 9-5 in the GCAC.
