Belhaven University Athletics

Belhaven sophomore Salina Cervantes was named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference softball pitcher of the week for her efforts during the week of February 23^rd through March 1^st.

 

Cervantes, a native of San Bernardino, CA earned her fourth win of the season at NCAA Division I Grambling State University with a 9-2 decision over the Lady Tigers. Cervantes pitched all seven innings allowing two earned runs on six hits. She also struck out three Grambling hitters on the afternoon. Cervantes currently leads the team in ERA at 3.12 and in strikeouts with 31.
