One of this week's "Cellular South Athletes of the Week" is Regena Jackson of the women's basketball team. Jackson, a junior guard from Denham, LA, posted a triple double and just missed a quadruple double with seven steals to go along with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in a key SSAC West Division win at Mobile. Jackson followed that up with a 23 point performance leading the Blazers to a win against William Carey and the teams first 20 win season since 1982. Jackson is averaging 16.9 points per game and has racked up 103 assists in just 16 games played. She is averaging 6.4 assist per contest and four rebounds per game.
