Belhaven University Athletics

One of this week's "Cellular South Athletes of the Week" is Regena Jackson of the women's basketball team. Jackson, a 5'7 junior guard from Denham, LA, had a big week for the Blazers helping lead Belhaven to a pair of key Southern States Athletic Conference victories. Jackson had 36 total points, 17 assists, and nine rebounds in wins over William Carey and Loyola which put the Blazers into first place in the west division standings. On the season, Jackson is averaging 15.6 points per game and already has 54 assists in just nine games played so far this year. She was also named as the SSAC Player of the Week.
