Billy Evans enters his seventh season as Head
Women’s Basketball Coach at Belhaven. He has compiled an overall record
of 70-102 with the Lady Blazers.
A graduate of Northeast Louisiana University, Coach
Evans has been involved in coaching athletics for more than 25 years, at
both the high school and collegiate levels. He has served as head coach
of men’s and women’s varsity basketball, tennis and track, as well as
assistant coach for high school football and baseball.
Prior to arriving at Belhaven, Coach Evans spent
the 2000-2001 season as an assistant with the Millsaps College women’s
basketball program.
Coach Evans served as Head Coach of the women’s
basketball team at Northwest Rankin High School (Brandon, Mississippi)
from 1994-2000. While at Northwest, he compiled an overall record of
94-54, and took the 1999 team to the state championship game for the
first time in the school’s history.

Gray

Rakesia Gray enters her second year as an assistant
coach with the women’s basketball program.
A native of Waynesboro, MS, Keke played for Coach
Evans and the Lady Blazers from 2002-2006. She graduated from Belhaven
in May of 2006 with a degree in Business Administration.
In addition to her coaching duties, coach Gray
serves as the Compliance Coordinator for the Blazers’ Department of
Athletics.
Keke is currently pursuing her Masters in Business
Administration at Belhaven.
Roxana Rogers
Assistant Coach

Roxanna Rogers enters her first year as an
assistant coach with the women’s basketball program.
A native of Lake, MS, Roxanna played for Coach
Evans and the Lady Blazers from 2003-2007. She will graduate from
Belhaven in May of 2008 with a degree in Sports Administration.
