LADY BLAZERS BUILD BRIDGES, HELP COMMUNITY
The Lady Blazers Volleyball Team
has been volunteering at the Center for Pregnancy Choices (CPC) this
spring. The CPC is the Lady Blazers' "Home Team" for the 2007-2008
school year.
"We wanted to team up with an organization that had a good mission, and the CPC has just that," said head coach Lydia Smith. "They help by serving women in the community by helping to meet their needs, making them aware of the choices they have, along with the responsibilities that come along with being a mother. We began serving there on Dr. Martin Luther King Day and have made an effort to serve most Wednesdays to help in any way possible." "Our tasks have come in a various forms such as, sorting through clothing & an assortment of donated items, making diaper bags for new mothers, and cleaning their facility as needed. We're happy to be able to support an organization that promotes, serves, and loves others as Jesus Christ has called us to do."
