Accommodations
There are properties located within 20 minutes of Choctaw Trails in Clinton, Jackson and Ridgeland.
When booking reservations, please use the contact number provided with each property and reference the NCCAA Cross Country Championships to get the discounted rate.

If you are mailing checks for the banquet and/or registration fee, please make the check payable to Belhaven University. Then, please mail the check to Belhaven University, C/O Christie Barber, 1500 Peachtree Street, Box 171, Jackson, MS 39202.
Admission
There will be an admission charge of $5 per vehicle (for spectators) at the entrance to the course.
Athletic Training
Belhaven University will provide Certified Athletic Trainers at Choctaw Trails on race day from 8 a.m. until the conclusion of the race. ATCs will also be available on Belhaven's campus the evening prior to the race from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Please contact

Awards
The DI and DII Wheeler and Bullock awards and the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete awards will be presented at the banquet on Friday night. The NCCAA Cross Country Championship Awards will be presented at Choctaw Trails following the meet at approximately 12:30 p.m. The top 15 men and women in DI will receive All American plaques. The first place team will receive a banner, while the second, third, and fourth place teams receive NCCAA plaques. The top five men and women in DII will receive All American plaques. The first place team will receive a banner, while the second, third, and fourth place teams will receive NCCAA plaques. Wheeler/Bullock Awards are due Tuesday, November 1 and Scholar-Athlete Awards Nominations are due Friday, November 4. Forms for these awards are available in NCCAA Cross Country Handbook.

Banquet
The Banquet will be held on Friday, November 11 at 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Dr. Billy Kim Center on the Belhaven University campus. Tickets for the banquet are $16 per person and are separate from the registration fee. All tickets must be reserved online in advance by
Thursday, November 3, and coaches must pay for the number of tickets reserved. If you wish to submit a check, they can be mailed to the address above, or coaches may pay by check or cash at the door.

Christian Service Project
There will be multiple service projects available to teams on Thursday, November 10 and Friday, November 11. Cross Country Teams will work with several local organizations in the Jackson-area including
Stewpot Community Services,
We Will Go Ministries,
Center for Pregnancy Choices, and
Mississippi Food Network. Teams will work with them in sorting donations, cleaning and organizing, filling Thanksgiving 'baskets', and ministering directly to people in and around their facilities.
Clerking Procedures
Runners will check in at clerk tent near the start line beginning one hour prior to their race. Check-in will CLOSE 20 minutes prior to the start of each race. Teams are required to check in at the start line during this time.
Coaches Meeting
The Coaches Meeting will take place on Friday, November 11 at 5:30 p.m. on campus in the Dr. Billy Kim Center, Room 106. Click on the campus map for location of the Dr. Billy Kim Center.
Concessions
There will be concessions for sale at Choctaw Trails, including pizzas, whole and by the slice. If you would like to purchase pizzas for your entire team, please contact Christie Barber by Tuesday, November 8, with the number and type of pizzas you wish to order. The cost per large pizza is $8.
Course Access
The course will be open/available for team viewing and workouts on Thursday, November 10, and Friday, November 11, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Course Description
Choctaw Trails has rolling hills and is 95% grass. There are numerous places for spectators to view the race. The women's 5k course is a single loop. The men's 8k course is two 4k loops. There are mile markers at each mile and there will be digital clocks and splits called at each mile marker.

Open Race
An open race for any coaches, athletes, and fans will be held on the race course at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11. Participants may choose to run 5k or 8k. This event will not be officially timed or directed.
Registration
Registration will be available through
www.directathletics.com beginning Saturday, October 1. The registration site will close on Monday, November 7 at 11:59 p.m. (CT). Registration fees of $60 per team, $120 for men and women, or $15 per individual should be paid by check. Please make check payable to Belhaven University. If you are sending the check via mail, please send it to the address listed above.
Restrooms
There are port-o-lets available at the course. There are no locker rooms or other indoor facilities.

Scoring
Schools wishing to obtain a team score must have five runners finishing. Each team may run a maximum of seven runners.

Souvenirs
Fine Designs, the official t-shirt vendor of the NCCAA, will be selling t-shirts at the course on Friday and Saturday.
Team Camp
There will be a designated area for team camps. Teams may set up tents on Friday if the weather allows.
Timing and Scoring
Chip timing and scoring will be provided by Pirate Timing. Each school is responsible for returning their chips ($15 per unreturned chip).
Transportation
The Jackson International Airport is 18 miles from Choctaw Trails. Discounted car/van rentals are available through Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
