well as in the back.”

"He played on the first side and was very effective as an outside left

starting, but will need to come in and prove himself at the college
level.”
David Harbaugh

different look at this position.”

our striker line for 06”
Dart Spiers
-Long Beach, MS

-Central Midfield
"Dart has had a good career at HS and I look for him to continue with us
at Belhaven. He has a very good defensive disposition as a midfielder
and will give us a much needed second line of defense. He is good in
the classroom and fits the Blazer profile.”
Stephen Stuart
-Clinton, MS
-Southern Mississippi transfer
-Former Clinton HS, goalkeeper
-Goalkeeper
"Stephen is a good leader and hates to loose. He will bring a very
strong work level to our practices. Affectingly known as “Red”, Red
will push our goalkeeping group as iron sharpens iron.”
Ashley Thorpe
-Northamptonshire, England
-Sports-Ed – Coach Jamie Bennett
-Goalkeeper
-6’2” 185 lbs
-Wales HS
"Ashley comes from a very good program at Sports-Ed. He will be coming
in fighting for the top goalkeeper spot, since Matthew Paschal, Pearl HS
graduate, finished his 4 years of eligibility in 05. It will be tough
shoes to fill, since Matt held the post all 4 years of his career. This
position on the field is up for grabs. I have 5 guys all fighting for
the position. I feel Ashley has a strong chance at minding our net. He
will have to come in and battle it out in August.”
Sergei Yepishin
-Pensacola, FL
-Pensacola FC
-Escambia HS
-Striker
"During high school he scored 56 goals in four years on varsity and had
more then 30 assists. This year he was named on the All State team and
All Star team from his region. Sergei is originally from Russia. He
comes to Belhaven looking to make a mark on the team. He is a very
mature young man and knows what he wants. He is very goal orientated.
He is a proven goal scorer and has done so both on his club team and
high school team. As I have strengthened our defense, Sergei will be an
added touch to our top line. I believe he will make an immediate impact
on the field for us with his speed up top and his ability to score, but
most importantly he has great character and is fired up for the Lord.
He will make a bigger impact for the kingdom in this area. I am excited
about what Sergei has to offer Belhaven’s program.”
