NORCROSS, Ga. –
Enrico Patriarca of the Belhaven's men's tennis team has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his efforts in matches this past week. The Blazers went 2-1 in three matches, are 10-3 on the season, and ranked 14th in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll.
Patriarca, a junior from Assis, Brazil, won all three of his singles matches and improved his record to 10-1 on the season. Patriarca defeated William Carey's Arnau Sanz 7-6, 6-1 followed by a 6-2, 4-6, and 6-3 win over Mobile's Santiago Quiros. Patriarca capped the week by defeating Jackson State's Marko Milosavlevic 6-0, 6-0. Patriarca also went 2-1 in doubles competition.
Belhaven will be back in action on April 12th at home against Louisiana College and Loyola University.
