KANSAS CITY, Mo.-The Belhaven men's and women's tennis teams earned NAIA Scholar Team honors, as announced recently by the national office.
Teams must record a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution to be eligible for the award. The team GPA includes all varsity student-athletes certified as eligible. The team grade point average includes all varsity student-athletes certified as eligible. The Blazer men compiled a cumulative team GPA of 3.35 while the women recorded a 3.22 GPA for the 2011-12 academic year. This marks the second straight year that both tennis teams have achieved this honor. A total of 741 teams nationally received the award.
