Jackson, MS-Four members of the Belhaven men’s soccer team were named to the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference All Conference Team when the selections were announced by the GCAC Monday night.

Alan Hannon, a senior from Offlay, Ireland, was one of five defenders named to this year’s team. Hannon has compiled four goals and four assists in 15 games this season for the Blazers. Hannon is also second on the team in points with 12.

Jose Morales and John Kehoe were named to the GCAC All Conference Team as Midfielders. Morales, a senior from Houston, TX, has a goal and two assists in 14 games played this year. Kehoe, a senior from Laois, Ireland, has recorded a team high seven assists, which is second in the GCAC, and is fourth on the team in points with seven.

Juan Rodriguez, a senior from Kenner, LA, rounds out the list of Blazers to make this year’s GCAC All Conference Team. Rodriguez was selected as one of four forwards after having led Belhaven in goals with 15 and points with 33 so far this year. He has also compiled three assists during the 2009 campaign. Rodriguez leads the GCAC in goals and game winning goals with six.

Belhaven will open postseason play in the Semi-Finals of the GCAC Tournament on Friday when they host the University of Mobile at H.T. Newell Field. The kickoff is slated for 2:30 PM.
