 Coach Steve DeCou

Steve DeCou enters his first season at Belhaven after serving as head soccer coach at Trinity Christian College in Chicago, Illinois.  While coaching at Trinity, DeCou led his team to capture the NCAA North Central Region title and advance to the NCAA National Championships.  DeCou was named CCAC Coach of the Year.

Previous to Trinity Christian College, DeCou coached at Huntington College in Indiana and Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga.

Steve DeCou is accompanied by his wife Amy, and their daughter Sadie.  He is a 1995 graduate of Tennessee Temple University with a degree in physical education.  He also completed his master’s degree in sports medicine at the United States Sports Academy, and he holds an USSF "A" license as well as a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

 

Adam Braun- Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Adam Braun enters his first year as Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach with the Blazers. 

Prior to arriving at Belhaven, Adam was an accomplished soccer player, earning NCCAA and NAIA All-American honors at Trinity Christian College. In his senior campaign, Adam was named Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Trinity College Male Athlete of the Year. Prior to attending Trinity Christian College, Adam played for Taylor University.

Adam graduated from Trinity Christian College with Bachelor’s degrees in Theology and in Church Education.
