Kansas City, MO-Three Belhaven softball players earned 2010 NAIA All-American honors when the All-American team was announced by the NAIA on Wednesday afternoon. Britney Webb was named to the NAIA All-American First Team while Sarah Burns and Christina Jaques were both selected as Second Team members.

With the win, Belhaven advanced to take on William Carey (Miss.) at 2:30 p.m.

The Blazers, who went 3-0 in pool play to make the final eight, will now have to battle their way back through the loser’s bracket portion of the tournament.

The Blazers finished pool play with a record of 3-0 and now move on to the eight team double elimination bracket portion of the tournament.

Decatur, AL-The Belhaven softball team, ranked 6th in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Columbia College (MO) 2-1 in a Pool F contest at the 30th Annual NAIA National Softball Championship at Wilson Morgan Park on Saturday afternoon. Heather Pace came up with a clutch one out run scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning driving home Jessica Eggold from third for the game winning run.
