Jackson, MS-The Belhaven men’s soccer team was firing on all cylinders Friday afternoon in a 5-2 non-conference victory over NCAA Division II Harding University at H.T. Newell Field. It was the second highest scoring game of the season for the Blazers, who are ranked 24th in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll. Belhaven scored a season high six goals in a 6-4 win against Lambuth University back on September 29th.

The Blazers were outshot by the Rams 12-6, but a penalty kick goal with 1:17 left in overtime sealed the win.

Jackson, MS-The Belhaven men’s soccer team picked up their first Gulf Coast Athletic Conference with of the season with a 2-0 shutout of LSU-Shreveport on Tuesday night at H.T. Newell Field. The Blazers dominated both sides of the ball and outshout the Pilots 21-2 on the night.

Jackson, MS-The Belhaven men's and women's soccer matches scheduled for this Friday and Saturday at Lyon College and Central Baptist College have been cancelled due to inclement weather. The matches will not be made up. The Blazer men are currently 6-3-2 and will be back in action at home on Tuesday when they take on LSU-Shreveport in a GCAC matchup beginning at 3:30. The Blazer women will also play LSU-Shreveport on Tuesday in a 1:30 kickoff at H.T. Newell Field.

Jackson, MS-The Belhaven men’s soccer team lost a tough 1-0 match to rival William Carey University in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Wednesday night at H.T. Newell. The Crusader’s are ranked 18th in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll while Belhaven came into the night ranked one spot behind at number 19. The Blazers had a couple of chances to put goals on the board, but couldn’t capitalize.
