New Orleans, LA-The Belhaven men’s basketball team suffered their first Gulf Coast Athletic Conference loss of the season at Xavier University of New Orleans Thursday night 75-68. The Gold Rush found a way to slow down the Blazers offense that came into the night averaging over 86 points per game. The Blazers hurt themselves as well by committing 24 turnovers in the contest.

Jackson, MS-The Belhaven men’s basketball team used a strong second half performance on Monday night propelling them to a 77-63 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference victory over Spring Hill College. The 12th ranked Blazers outscored the Badgers 41-30 in the final 20 minutes of the contest to keep sole possession of first place in the GCAC standings. The Blazer bench played a keyed role once again in the win thanks to a 40-16 scoring advantage over Spring Hill.

New Orleans, LA-The Belhaven men’s basketball team kept the momentum going on Saturday night with a convincing 89-68 victory at Southern University at New Orleans in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action. The 20th ranked Blazers pulled away in the second half after the Knights were able to hang with Belhaven in the opening period. The Blazers dominated the paint with 50 points and the bench came up big again accounting for 40 points on the night.

The Blazers entered Thursday night’s game ranked 20th in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll. Rob Wallace turned in his best performance in a Blazer uniform scoring 23 points on 9 of 12 shooting from the field to ignite the Belhaven offense.
