Jackson, MS-Head Coach Hill Denson and the Belhaven baseball program are pleased to announce the signing of transfers Jared Miller and Anthony Doss for the 2011 season. Miller, a right handed pitcher, is a transfer from Mississippi State University and Doss who is an outfielder comes to Belhaven after spending two seasons at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Richmond, VA-Former Belhaven right handed pitcher Craig Westcott has been called up to the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the Double A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The Giants picked Westcott in the 30th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft and he has pitched well since joining the organization.

The Belhaven baseball team capped off their greatest seasons in school history with a trip to the 2010 Avista NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Like softball, it was the first ever appearance by a Blazer team in the World Series. Belhaven came close in 2009 when they made it to the championship game of NAIA National Tournament opening round, but Lee University spoiled their travel plans with a championship victory.

Princeton, WV-Former Belhaven baseball pitcher Wade Broyles has signed with the Tampa Bay Rays and has been assigned to the Princeton Rays of the Appalachian League. Princeton is the Rookie League affiliate of Tampa Bay who drafted Broyles in the 40th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft.
